I think an implication of what you’ve written specifically re: revenue is that it’s on founders to tell a powerful story + craft a compelling vision for what a company can be. That + interim proof points is what should be in focus. Top-line revenue alone just doesn’t tell the whole (or even necessarily the most compelling) parts of a what a company is creating.
